Okay ran into a huge problem today, started her up and it runs so bad, stalled out 2 times when shifting into reverse and sounds just like carp. So I'm not to sure what it is, what I'm thinking is it's something with the air. So on the front of the engine there's that circular thing with a tube coming out of it going to the air filter box, and the other one runs down to the cat. I'm wondering if disconnecting this tube screwed up something with the car. It's a 1993 and ran fine a few months ago but it's sat and hasn't needed to be started till today and it runs horrible. All my electrical stuff is all good. So anyone know how to fix that problem? Thanks It shouldn't have affected it with the air filter box off because mine is on my 1989 you might want to check the vacuum lines or check your fuel filter. I ran into the same problem on mine. There should be a vacuum line right beside the passenger side strut under the hood check and see if that hose as a hole in it or not What is I may have disconnected it? Is it the smaller lines that run to the front passenger side underneath and behind the bumper? Because I didn't know what those were so I disconnected them and they all connected at that piece right in the center behind the motor that goes to other stuff. And I did reroute my fuel line where the wiper motors were at and its lying sideways, not sure if that could also be a problem.

Turned out to be a cut in the tube that goes from the brake booster to some system of hoses, electrical and duct taped it up ad now it runs like a champ (sort of). Thanks for the help telling me to check lines for holes

So let me ask this. Would u wire in toggle switches and if so. How? Watch tie rods. Fix all motor mounts. Change bumper and shocks. I might be able to find mustang 2 front or older pinto box front with the pinto shock. And weld weld weld. Oh and eliminate fuel cut off switch. Any suggestions on fuel lines can you use a steel line with a barbed fitting on the ends and double clamped with high pressure fuel hose.
Anything else im missing. This will be going up against gm fed cars so any help is much appreciated

I had decent luck cutting the front bumper shocks close to the frame, and then re welding the bumper on. Helped it from jacking straight up. Still looking to find a better way to strengthen tie rods...

Ok so here goes. 1992 ford tempo. Frame didn't move at all after 15 minutes of solid full arena shots. She has a late 70's gm front bumper on it. I took the shock bolt for the bumper out and drove entire shock back then welded entire thing solidbto front. Show it was ran at was unlimited 9 wire. So we nine wired hood all the way around to the swaybar and tightened hard. Putbsmall tractor tires on it. Worked awesome till the rear trans mount broke and broke the other two. Cause I didn't weld rear. If built right these are hard. I had gm guys scared of it

Can you explain again how to wire tied that front end? Anything done to the tie rods?

Drill holes in front edge of hood and pull two strands of 9 wire through hole down around radius bar and back up. Tighten good. Do this in front of bumper not between bumper and rad support.
