Go find setting else. You only need a decent steel-backed bumper for the rear.

Ive seen it done a few times actually, with prerun pointies. On most of the builds from what i remember, it was used to add leverage to get the bumper to curl in and start packing how they built them to. If its fresh, i wouldnt waste it..its going to end up twisting when the trunk comes in on itself, or it could possibly force you to whaletail or drag dirt. If its for a HARD car, its more leverage to get hung up on as well..

Anyone ever flip a bumper on the front of a bubble ford? Plan on using a 80s ford steel bumper. Its a stock class so no mods allowed at all on the frame but the bumper shocks will be collapsed then welded solid to bumper then frame.

Instead of it pushing it upward it pushes down. Works well for us.

Instead of it pushing it upward it pushes down. Works well for us. That was my idea to keep a bubble from going sky high in a few hits without being able to tilt, just never seen anyone try it before

What is everyones thoughts about bumpers from 98+ fords?
Windshield class, weld bumper to shock, stock size bolt through frame. The square body bumpers seem to be a bit much on the stock shocks and twist and the 92-97 suck.
Just wondering what years i should look for

how bout a 77 cordoba bumper on a 91 crown vic I know some guys have decent luck with Doba bumpers, but I put a 77 Doba front bumper on the front of my 62 Mercury amd it was absolute junk IMO. It was seamwelded, as was the 74 Duster bumper on the rear. The Duster bumper held up a lot better and now I have Duster bumpers on both ends.
