In our rules we are allowed 4- 4x4 plates on fresh builds. Where would you put your plates at on the frame?
And to counter act the front crumple zone. I'm cutting a inch off the front frame horns. 2 bumper mounting plates per frame rail 4-6 inches long I believe. And I will have 15 inch long bumper shocks inside the frame with 4 inches of weld.

Question. I’m trying to run a 05 Grand Marquis in a bonestock show that allows motor swaps. I’ve got a 350 sbc I’m wanting to place in the car but I’m unsure what route to take. Not allowed to have engine cradle and cannot reinforce the stock cradle in any way. ANY help would be appreciated.

They make bolt in cradles that should be allowed every where. Non strengthening crades.. they utilize the lower cradle bolts and factory uppers

Does anyone know of a good replacement ball joint for the factory cast upper a arms? I know NLR sells sells a complete Moog upper arm but I’m trying to avoid putting shiny parts on to draw attention. It’s a very stock show. I’ll have 80’s spindles on it.

Unless your going to a place to pull used parts, anything new is going to look shiny.. you cant just replace the balljoint and not the whole thing

It’s just a pressed in ball joint. It can be changed without replacing the entire arm.

Seen it asked above. Where is the best place to put fix it plates on these fresh. Also would I be better off mounting strut to top of lower a arm to gain height or use 1" threaded rod in place of strut. Worried about the aluminum not holding up to the solid 1" rod vs give of the strut. Plan on swapping to 80 Ford uppers with Q1 bjs. 7" a arms straps.

Hey guys is there a way to beef up a rack when utilizing the aluminum cradle? Do I use p.s or no p.s? . Stock tie rods , tie rods with 1” angle welded or aftermarket tie rods? . Would you rather break stock tierods and replace them over a rack is kinda what I’m getting at . Thanks
