Went through all the pages maybe I over looked it but I’ll be running a 9” in early 90s Lincoln do you shorten both upper and lower control arms to bring tire forward or just the bottom ? I have all the measurements for 98-02 and 03-up just wasn’t sure since they mount differently Shorten the lowers to adjust the pinion angle so when the rear rolls your 3rd member wont be in the dirt. I usually cut 1 1/2" out of the lowers, butt weld, and then a piece of light strap over the butt weld to help stiffen it.

No cradle bone stock show I think someone makes mopar to ford motor mounts. Might be Mike's derby shop. I know guys who have taken chevy c cup mounts and bolted them to mopar mounts and then set everything down in and welded the c cups to the engine cross member before for stock shows

Got a 96 Lincoln town car, wanting to swap a arms on it. I have 70s ford a arms, but when I measured it all out it was evident it wasn’t gonna fit. How are you guys mounting these an arms? Or is there something else I should find?

Or is there something else I should find? Have to do some fab work. I've seen guys cut mounts off the 70s frame and weld to the newsstyle or mod the newstyle so they'll work. Just w.e is easier and your more comfortable with. Also 80s aarms work fine aswell on those cars I believe they'll bolt right on

I have a box vic. Tilted at the boxes. Trans brace. Dp. Pp. Seam welded to firewall. Arms welded down. Kickers behind a arms. I was thinking about getting a replica bumper. Would a pointy or impala be better? I was thinking the pointy might make it bend quicker. I also have a loaded monte but I wanted to save it for more of a stock show. Which would you use?

What’s your bumper bracket rule? Any plates on fresh or “ pre ran” cars w/your rules?

I would make it a “ pre ran” if you could. Go beat it up somewhere. Put a 6 inch bumper bracket on and 2 repair plate’s between the bumper bracket and the Aarm, you’re running a DP and tranny brace with kickers. Then put a pointy on it. How are your Aarm straps put on? Can you run any cables to the transmission cross member? Someone else may have a better idea…..

I just read the rules again. 6 plates allowed on a fresh car. Can do anything 8" behind the bumper to help keep it on. If using bumper brackets they must be stock and in stock location. A arms 2-2"x6" straps per side. Nothing mentioned about cables to cross member.
