What year of Astro van am I after to rob spindles off of? The guys I sell to like 80 to 94. Some 95s but also only square body s10s. Square body s-10’s are the same as astros?

S10s are small GM pattern and Astros are big GM. Might be something to consider

I am allowed to use any kind of steering components but they must be store bought. I have been using F-150 parts. I have had decent success with them. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions of something that might be better?

So question... I have a 1990 merc with the 5.0 and did a carb swap with an hei distributor and took out all factory wiring. Anyone have a reason why it would be burning up starters left and right? Also first time building a fullsize car any tips would be greatly appreciated.

How’s everyone getting height out of 23s or 25s with stock spindles and aftermarket ball joints welded down a arms Have seen alot switch to metric A-Arms, can use + height ball joints that have more height in the shank, any A Arm can be helped out with a little manipulation (clearancing the a arm to drop down further, there's a tab you can cut out that will drop them). Balancing game, too much height can drop the ball joint below the level of frame, personally I don't like how too much height gained from the top can put the lower ball joint and arm at a worse angle.

I am using the contoured ford lower mount with a lower cradle to put my sbc in box vic. The car is tilted. Since the mounts don't sit flat are you just adding filler around them to weld them in?

Went through all the pages maybe I over looked it but I’ll be running a 9” in early 90s Lincoln do you shorten both upper and lower control arms to bring tire forward or just the bottom ? I have all the measurements for 98-02 and 03-up just wasn’t sure since they mount differently
