Quick question and it may seem dumb but you need a rear sump oil pan for a 94 crown victoria correct? I am planning on dropping a 360 mopar into it. Currently my 360 has a rear sump oil pan on it but the car isn't where I can go look at the moment.

Correct you'll need the truck pan (rear sump) Well I have the motor in the car, ended up going with a 350 chevy and a 400 turbo trans. It is crazy to me how far the motor and transmission have to sit in this car. I had to remove pretty much the entire firewall to put my motor mounts on the crossmember. As a mopar guy it just seems so wrong, we never cut the firewall out of mopars.

I am wondering on best way to mount bumper brackets. I'm allowed a 14" bracket welded to frame. Is it best to run on top of frame or outside? Or run stock shock shoved in frame? Going on box Lincoln. Light weld class. No protectors. Can weld A arms down and 4 other plates on fresh car.

Lincoln are a lot longer up front...Me personally like to run them on the inside edge of the frame. Not 100% sure if better then on the outside edge but works for me...

^^^^^ This guy knows how to build a stout vic, I'd listen to him. I have also unbolted the stock shock, shoved it in the frame as far as it would go, and reweleded the shock through the bolt hole on the outside and inside of the frame, as well as welded the square bracket to the front of the frame. It's not 14 inches, but it's pretty stout.

Is a 79 Mark V on the panther platform like the 80's+? I'm trying to figure out if the frames are like the rest of 80+ or if they are like the older style Ford frames.
