On a shocker which diff would be the best to have underneath the stock 9 1/4 or a cbody 8 3/4

Have some questions. Has anyone used nitro gears and if so how do they seem to hold up? Would 5.13 ratio be to deep for a derby? Where I run its on a race track I'm guessing 150 feet long. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

^ No experience with that type of gear. I ran 3.23s, 4.10s. 4.56s and 5.38s when I used to run weld cars, I liked the 5.38s the most. The tracks I ran on were pretty long.

Alright thanks I'm probably going to get them and try them just wasn't sure if going that deep of a gear would be good or bad idea. Lol

On my axles the side with the adjuster my adjuster moves back and forth allowing my axle to slide in and out is there a way to fix this?

I never really have issues with them but whenever i do adjust them i just turn it counter clockwise till its as tight as i can get it. this will set the axle as far into the diff housing as possible. I have no clue if the adjuster settings really matter but I've never had a problem with one being dialed out as tight as i can get it then i give a few strikes with a hammer and punch.

Mostly dirt track , somewhat wet but not a mud pit. Tracks are usually around 200 ft by 100 , or so
