The quickest way to tell the pinion spline size is check the size of the pinion nut. grab 2 wrenches... 10 spline pinion will have a 1 1/8" nut and the 29 spline will have a 1 1/4" nut
if the wrench fits....

Nope that would be crazy. Working on a Dodge Demon and that's the last part I need are the axles just need to know the length cause a buddy has a set of 8 3/4 axles laying around and they look like they would fit

Im running an 8.25, yep thanks to the rules. I have read (on the internet) that chry8.25 and gm10 bolt axle bearing is the same part number. So I wander if the c clip eliminators/bia axle bearing from a gm will fit, I know its ludacris putting gm parts in but anything to put on one hell of a show with this mopar. Any insight/tips, even a secret or two about this so called junk 8.25? Does the c clip eliminator press on or clamp on the axle, or should I just keep my ideas to myself and roll with them?

Never heard of it. A lot of jeep guys that run 8 1/4 rears that don't want to upgrade an entire diff will put on disk brakes in the back to hold the axles in. I'm not sure that would make much sense for a derby car.. but it's an option I suppose.

^^^^^ What he said. I'm looking for some tougher 30 spline axles, but may have to suck it up and jump to 35 spline.

Quick question... Will Chevy SS rims fit on a driver 71 Imperial? I know the pattern is the same but is the offset, backspacing, center bore... OK?
Thanks!
