Can you put an SBC in a mopar and still run a dp? Want to still one in a Cordoba but want to leave the firewall in.

i got my 350 in an 84 Gran Fury (dippy) by using square tubing that would fit into the upper mounts of a 350 and welded to sub frame. in order to put a gm motor in tho the motor needs to be raised cuz there is not enough room towards the bottom plus you have the steering box to work around.

^ And I believe we used the stock crossmember to hold the trans up and chained it in place.

started putting in my motor and tranny in my shocker tonight, i came across one small problem, im useing a robbo sbc to mopar cradle to put my 350 in with short tail tranny th 350. the problem i came across was that my slider yoke doesnt clear my cross member, if i go any farther back i wont be able to hit the bolts on my cradle, im going to have to cut a chunk out of my stock tranny crossmember so it will drop down a little and still give me room to bolt the cradle down. has anyone else came across this?

I'm having some problems clearing the steering crosslink on a yframer. SBC in a robo mount. Th400 short. Its rubbing the oil pan, seems like we've ran that way before, but I can't remember. The motor is back as far as it'll go. Should I leave it? Try bending the steering?

I'd bend the steering linkage down enough for adequate clearance.
