What's the difference between coupe/4 door/ and the Fleetwood if any? Besides the overall length Not all the fleetwoods are the long version. The coupe, 4 door, and Fleetwood 60 are the same length. The Fleetwood 75 is the super long version.

I don't have all 3 73/4s to compare but I do have a 75 coupe, 4 door, and Fleetwood Brougham all parked side by side and the are the same lenghth.

Every fleetwood I have seen was 3 inches longer in the center. I have even cut a fleetwood frame 3 inches to fit a coupe or sedan deville body. The two and four door are the same length. But not the fleetwood. And the fleetwood 75 is really long because its a limo. Just my experience

If I could find a fleetwood the same length as a SD or CD that would be great. Price wise coupes and fleetwoods are the same, $100-$200 more than a sedan deville. Having them and looking at them, I think from a body standpoint a fleetwood or a 71-73 coupe would be my preference because the fleetwoods have the b pillar and a large c pillar, and the 71-3 coupes have the best rear pillar of the coupes imo. But our 1975 fleetwood is longer in the rear doors than our coupe’s and the sedan deville we had

If it's only 3" like Stromi said I'm guessing my calibrated eyeball tape measure may have not seen it. I have all 3 types parked side by side and just looked down the bumpers its looked the same length. But it would be hard to see an inch and half difference on each end assuming I have them centered.

Check the wheelbase. It's 3 inches different.

Ok. Just curious. Fixing to haul in a 74 Fleetwood wasn't sure if there were any other difference besides post and tad longer.

Nope other than the design and shape of the back glass opening. Between that and the post the fleetwood roof is stronger. Doesn't really make a difference on a full weld car.

Debating on what bumper to use. Ran a 73 that nosed hard last year but was crusty and wasn't allowed to use another gm xmember. Got the ok to use a Buick xmember (can't be homemade). With the use of a xmember and welded to rails and frame kickers will it hold up to a stuffed pointy?? No protectors either unfortunately. But allowed shocks on top. If not I'll stick with my loaded 76 Impala.
