I’m not sure about the full caddy frame but front stubs yes. That’s what I would do. That’s something I’ve wanted to do a for a while.

I am working on a 74 caddy cdv. Trying to set up a set of tie rods with hiem ends . Having a hard time (will turn fully one way but not the other ) Are the stock ones different lengths ? Is one supposed to be shorter then the other ? Looking for some help thanks .

Are you sure your tie rods are the same length? Are the ends binding or hitting something?

Did you ever take center link off? Are they bolted through the center link on the right side? loosen the bolts and see if it goes the rest of the way.

I’m not a fan of notching, tend to rip off...take and heat and dimple it...I always took the very last bumperbracket bolt out(closest to hump) then reinstall it in the other hole closer to the bumper...then dimple pretty deep between the end of the bracket, and that bolt....not sure if u can pictur that in ur head,..someone will make some since out of it

I prefer notching them myself, but I do agree where dreed121 says to do it at on the 4-6 Caddys at. If you do notch it, I wouldnt just window notch it. I would do a full notch.

dreed121 the rears on the 4s are quite similar to the 5/6, and they share the same bumper and brackets. The 74 I have at my house appears to be thicker humps than the 5/6, but the frame from humps back looks identica. I've heard that all 4s have thicker humps and then I've heard that just some do. Whatever way you setup a 5/6 is how I would do a 4. now the 3s, I have no clue how to setup an Ibeam frame.

What's the difference between coupe/4 door/ and the Fleetwood if any? Besides the overall length

What's the difference between coupe/4 door/ and the Fleetwood if any? Besides the overall length the fleetwood post helps from bellying, I prefer the 73 and older 2 door bodies vs the 74-6.
