The heads aren't stock they've been machined to take aftermarket springs.

I have a complete 5.7 vortec. Pulled it from a 98 pickup. Had a bad intake gasket. Gasket has been replaced.Whats it worth? Any body interested? Located in 61071.

I need to eliminate the crank sensor in my timing chain cover. I'm not using it & it's in the way of my pulley protector. My questions are which cover do I use? Older style or do I need one with a cam button? Or can I just plug up the hole for the sensor? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

when you swap to the older style cover you won't use two of the bolt holes on the older cover and you'll need shorter bolts (i think). just use a good felpro gasket and some permatex and it will seal up fine

They didn't make vortecs in 94 bud. 96-99.
