Are there any other modifications needed for 70's gm? I have access to a 75 caprice. Are they manual or power boxes?

This is what happened to my brother's GM manual steering box the first time we used them on or Vics. This occurred from a very light tire shot, it snapped the internal shaft right in half. Mine held up alright, but if they are prone to breaking, I might as well just use the 80s Ford dry. Anyone else have an issue with the GM manual boxes?

Use the Ford boxes with two bolt cap on top of the box and run power steering

I have never built ANY Ford before, gonna try to build a 2000 Lincoln TownCar, I was wondering if I need to swap the a-arms and spindels out from an 80's Ford? And if I can just slide the rotors on from a 74 Caprice? Reason being I dont want to change my tires to different rims or weld in centers because I always run 70's GM's. And why are 80's a-arms and spindels better to run?

Use your gm spindles and a-arms, they fit right on there with little modifications.

Weld them down to the frame. You want that Lincoln tall in the front and low in the rear.

80s stuff is better because the A arms are stamped and not cast metal bolted together. Also the 98+ used 16" rims and the brakes won't fit with 15" wheels.
