Still waiting on rules so Im at a standstill. Stirrindirt keeps saying the rules should be about the same, but when I talk to other people I keep hearing a totally different story. Im kind of annoyed at the total gong show we are getting from a well established promoter. that sucks.... Also my opinion the notch is a little too far back on a caddy unless your going to do multiple and or do you get hump plates...

I was going for 2 notches before the heat and then after the heat we got 4 4x6 plates behind the trans crossmember.

I've heard about shortening the rear bumper brackets, just never done it myself. I was planning on cuttinf the bracket right where the long hole is on the bottom of the frame. My only concern is, do you run into any issues with the frame wanting to rip off if I put my notch in that section of frame over the long hole in the bottom? I have to check, but I think my notch was about here on my fleetwood and the frame eventually tore and was dragging on the ground behind me. I had three on it before I went into the feature. If the notch wasn't over that hole you are talking about though, it was closer to humps and would have been about the same depth as if you notched down the side of the frame where that hole was.

I would just dimple. Notches = rips to me. I’d dimple behind the bracket and base of the hump, pre bend a bit at the first dimple. That’s just me

DerbyKing88s would you shorten the bracket to where I was going to, or leave it full length?

I would slice it about 1/2 right behind body mount an dimple it there an dimple at end of bracket. I would try for tight rol. but I don’t run caddy’s

Not a cadi person but I would think you would cut the bracket at the notch/dimple, otherwise the purpose is defeated

DerbyKing88s would you shorten the bracket to where I was going to, or leave it full length? I’ve always just left the bracket full length but maybe try shortening it and putting the dimple right over top of that first oval hole

Got my door bars, halo, and dash done. With the price of steel, I opted to just stack 4" C channel because I got a decent amount of it for free. Should offer plenty of protection for some of the crazies that I expect to go against.

Yeah, Im only allowed 62" total length . I wanted my cage forward offset as well to better utilize my front downlegs. Being a Fleetwood doesnt help either as far as how much "unprotected" area I have in the back
