Its one of the reasons Im running a Caddy instead of an Impala. The stock uppers on a caddy seem (to me anyway) a better design than a standard GM. There were several people who lost trailing arms besides me as well. I dont know if it was just the phase of the moon or something to do with the track surface, but they were definitely a weak link for a lot of people. I really like 80-97 Ford uppers in my metric GMs. They help the pinion angle, and seem to be a lot tougher than your standard GM trailing arm.

With the price of metal I try and scrounge every piece I can lol. I thought about painting the cage to make it look more "professional", but Ive decided Im going to leave it just the way it is.

Harbor freight is gonna start selling cages now lol If their cages are as good as some of their high end product lines, they'll sell out quick. All of the 4" C channel was parts off shipping crates for wind turbine parts I was able to acquire.

I forgot what year Mustang with the drivetrain of a 85 Bronco ii. A buddys dad built that thing 30 years ago because he had the Mustang with a blown motor and the bronco ii was relatively new but was in a roll over. It was actually his daily driver for quite a while.
