Last year no, they had to be stock, could shorten them, but no added material. This year, hopefully yes.

Its one of the reasons Im running a Caddy instead of an Impala. The stock uppers on a caddy seem (to me anyway) a better design than a standard GM. There were several people who lost trailing arms besides me as well. I dont know if it was just the phase of the moon or something to do with the track surface, but they were definitely a weak link for a lot of people.

I dont think you could put a Caddy upper on a GM, the Caddy upper has a bushing in both ends and kind of look like a dog bone vs GM stye that cups over the bushing on the rear end.

I've heard about shortening the rear bumper brackets, just never done it myself. I was planning on cuttinf the bracket right where the long hole is on the bottom of the frame. My only concern is, do you run into any issues with the frame wanting to rip off if I put my notch in that section of frame over the long hole in the bottom?

Still waiting on rules so Im at a standstill. Stirrindirt keeps saying the rules should be about the same, but when I talk to other people I keep hearing a totally different story. Im kind of annoyed at the total gong show we are getting from a well established promoter.
