This is not the way to go with the trunks. You can inspect a trunk that is welded if you make them follow the rules. Not being able to weld a trunk is a big disadvantage and is unheard of in promods. Just Enforce the rules and let your inspector do there job. This will definitely hurt the promod car count and end them at Johns shows.This is just an opinion from a old retired derby driver.

Im with Larry on the trunk promod with no welded trunks will end the promods for johns shows. They can be check and they have sent some guys home last year with cages in the trunk.

Rule adjustment on stock class:
Frames are not to be shortened. However, on the 80's Lincolns you are allowed to shorten the front frame rails to match a crown vic... Do not move or go past the core support hole!

I have decided to let the trunks in the pro mod class be welded. I have recently bought a couple of imperials I will be getting ready for raffle cars and the trunks are already welded...

Now if we can get him to change the spacer rule in stock class should be great turn out. Put the doghouse on slide small spacer in 3 1/2 inch spacer all you need to bolt down any bigger you will be loaded or find a way to cut spacer down and get doghouse down to spacer. Its simple JDF lets take a VOTE
