I'm building a 65 chrysler belvedere for a limited weld show, it will have a 5.3 ls and a ford 9 inch rear, all seams from cross member forward can be welded and i can have kickers off the dash bar... tips on steering, front spindles, and how to fabricate the rear end, front motor mounts and tranny crossmember to work.. Cheating is welcome as well!!!

we built one and ran it in a very limited weld/stock show and it really held up well. Ran 3 shows. The steering is the problem, tie rods and a arms. Solve that and they're damn tough! dont have an after pic

What's the issue with the 9"? Is it a coil or leaf rear? If leaf, all you'll have to do is maybe weld on new perches or move the leaf packs side to side to make it work.

I mocked a 78(?) F150 9" up under my diplomat, and it was only about 1/4-1/2" wider on each side than the C body rear I put under it.

get a housing from a 67-9 suicide Lincoln these have a 9 1/2 carrier 31 spline axles but your 9in carrier will fit right in the housing so you can use good gears. These fit mopar great and tuck the wheels nicely in vics.

I have a strong feeling no one has done all that much swapping because there are not all that great of a car. Sometimes you have to do some stuff without being spoon fed it. Mock stuff and see what you have to make to mount it.
