I was wondering if anyone knows a lot of specs on spindles? What I would like to do is run a tall spindle, with drum brakes on front. I know a lot of guys dont run front brakes because of bent rims hitting the caliper. But I would like to run front brakes, and I run all big pattern gm rims 5x5. So what I need to know is if anyone knows of a durable tall spindle with drums and a big pattern gm. So far im looking at early 70s gm full size or the a body cars. But idk if they have a one inch drop or what there bolt pattern is. Or maybe I should make my own.. thanks for any help!

Buy a set of jokers. I don't personally have a set from him (yet) but have installed some for friends and yeah he's got it figured out.

Where can I get a set of these joker spindles? The only thing I can think of is I use to work at a small repair shop and a 60s something buick came in, it had the big pattern buick ralleyes and drum brakes all around but idk what the spindle looked like. Does these joker spindles have a shaft that I could put a hub on that would be for drum brake set up?? Thanks for help so far.

Buy jokers spindles and bjs then if you want front brakes you can rig up some discs and you just run full centers in your rims

Depending on his rules joker stuff might not fly.. I think your onto something with a late 50s early 60s buick or cadillac spindles .. But these will be a rear steer cars so you will have to swap sides ..

THERE ARE PLENTY OF "DONK LIFT SPINDLES" OUT THERE. THE REAL ISSUE IS, CHECK OUT YOUR RULES TO MAKE SURE THAT AN AFTERMARKET PART WILL FLY THRU INPECTION. SURE, THEY HAVE A GM PART NUMBER CAST INTO THEM,( THERES A LAWSUIT WAITING TO HAPPEN ANYDAY ) BUT ANY INSPECTOR WORTH A CRAP WILL KNOW THEY ARE NOT LEGIT.... AND ,IT WOULD SEEM THAT WITHOUT THE WELDED REINFORCEMENT PLATES THEY ARENT ANY BETTER THAN STOCK. AGAIN, BEFORE SPENDING 300 BUCKS, DO SOME RESEARCH TO SAVE YOURSELF A BUNCH OF MONEY..... SEEMS LIKE A BUNCH OF BLIZZARD BASH CARS HAD TO SWAP THERES BACK TO STOCK BEFORE PASSING INPECTION.....

you would be at a disadvantage with drum brakes opposed to running DS disc

Why are you so hell bent on running front brakes anyways?

Suicide Lincoln? Probably not the strongest and need reinforcing. Id recommend a set of Jokers as well.

Simple solution for wheels not locking up on the caliper. Custom make them for an offset or longer studs with whatever thickness of spacer you want. Isn't that easier and stronger than old school junk drum brake spindles
