here is another idea for anyone welding doors, hoods, and trunks. weld a piece of solid bar 1/4" to any metal you plan on welding over doors, hoods, and trunks then weld your metal on this will mean you have an extra 1/4" bar welded in to help those areas.

It looked like the gullo crew to me but I am not 100% sure I didn't watch the show a whole lot I'm not sure why you can't get a straight answer but that's what I think

Did the same thing to a shocker hood. Why he didn't go right in the middle i'll never know, but i'll post afters.

Did the same thing to a shocker hood. Why he didn't go right in the middle i'll never know, but i'll post afters. I watched the video like 4-5 times trying to figure that out. my best explanation that i could come up with is that they cut it off center so that the passenger side got more steel and in theory would be stronger. usually the front right corner takes more hits and damage than the front left (especially when driver door hits are cause for instant disqualification)

Well anymore people get away with door hits, but compared to how they drive in Utah they may not risk that type of hit. I figured it had something to do with moving the strength to the right side.

^^^ any time you can connect two pieces of metal that's allowed is generally for the better.. I always bolt my hood's as much as possibly allowed.

Weld ur webbing in ur hood then flip hood over an use air hammer an crease the hood down in to the webbing.... saw it done a few times very tough to bend
