if you keep standard rims i guess doubling and tubing fourwheeler tires works well. the mad cow car #103 in the honda build tips thread had some. guy has a video too explaining what he did good info. Yep. Stuff and tubed Maxxis Razr utv/atv tires. I think they where 26/9/14. They work well on a fwd but not so well on a rwd I just found out. Here they are on a fwd 90 Honda Accord Here they are on a fox body rustang And the down fall of them after one run And here are the front tires im running on the rustang. They are old 14.5" trailer tires tubed on 14" rims. Still good after the first run I think I will be using a set of trailer tires on the back for the next run and see how they do.

For the people that run dirt bike tires, are you mounting them on standard 14" rims or on spare tire (thinner) rims? Wasn't sure if they need a certain rim to mount on. I remember reading once using donut rims to mount dirtbike tires. im running into a problem with my brothers geo metro as it has 12 inch rims. i dont have a tire anywhere close to fit. i guess some honda rims will fit and allow 14 inch tires but then there are clearance issues. where it will die is a muddy track so i need something.... some mini bike tires are on amazon for like 30 bucks really thinking of buying and trying to double and tube but ill probably never have another geo so im at a loss. check around, I just picked up some 4 ply12" dirt bike tires for $19.99 a piece. At that price I don't even care is I pop them in one run but they're so small I don't think anyone will ever touch them. I triple stuffed a pair of 16" donuts last winter but decided to run 7.00-14 tractor tires in the front instead.

They are only 4" wide. I've been kicking around the idea of making a custom center and running two rims on each back wheel (batmobile style). But if I actually built half the hair brained ideas I have I'd have a shed full of stuff... well another shed full of stuff.

You can buy some nasty 12" tires on ebay for next to nothing. Anything from 10ply skid steer tires to snow blower. Gotta pay to play though. Sent from my C771 using Tapatalk 2
