boom61 get ahold of ci-ds they can make you a set. I asked but haven't jumped on getting them yet (buddy has a set of skids on his pinto and hated them) This is what ci-ds told me "On wheel centers for four lugs the prices are $8 a piece out of 1/4" and $12 out of 3/8"."

^^^im wiling to bet knocked out some axles with them. Anything more 8 ply adds a bunch of weight. I've heard of guys around here, running full size, knocking out axles on a ford 9" because of heavy ply tires. With a heavy tire, it puts a hell of a jolt on the differental spinning 30 mph and stopped instantly.

Axles were fine he just didn't get around apparently. My brother in law watched him derby and said I was getting around better with some KMS 100's on my fox. I think he said the skidders weren't clearing out like they should have.

^^ added weight of a heavy ply tire could slow down how fast the tire turns. I try to avoid anything more than 8 ply on a compact less you have 35 spline axles, 4.10 or deeper gears, and a fire breathing screamer of a motor.

Good old 14/15. Could use a smaller tube for a 5.00-15 or 6.70-15 as well. Workin at a tire/mechinac shop, ive used a 14/15 tube for everything from a 13" tire to a 17" without any issues.
