I ran BFG a/t 195/75r14 just with tubes. Took some pretty hard tire shots and was dragged out with both still up. Pretty pricey at round 150$ a piece, should've went with 10 ply fork lift tires but they've held up well and gotten around awesome. They are 8ply but are really thick like a 10 ply 16" pickup tire. They are getting flaps on the outside of the tire but aside from that I'll run them just like they were.

I plan to run some sort of rwd compact in the future, rustang, t bird or camero. I will delete brakes add a pinion brake and slap a pair or these bad boys on back.

Alright I getting tired of popping tires and now I'm doubling them from here on out. What size are small enough you think to fit inside a 23x8.50-14 Carlisle trac chiefs? And what are some good double steer tire combos for a rwd car?

They should but idk how long they would last sense a rwds rear wheels get slammed the most. I found out the hard way with my fox body.

i have a pair of 5.00-15 on doughnut rims, doubled with a doughnut and tubed. one had a slice from being ran with just a tube. but stitched it together with fishing line and doubled them.. holding up just fine.

Any RWD guys run donuts on the front? Do they hold up better than a regular tire?
