HD stamp on rear frame rail. Most didnt come with a vinyl top. Most will have an HD stamp on the package tray also.

they are stamped under the pasener motor mout also ad the vin is p72 on most be carefull I have seen 80s cop cars that are not hd also if it is all there they will have the coolers up front for the trans and ps

Look at the speedo. 140mph is HD. Plus stamps on frame.

I know HD is suppose to be heavy duty but on the square bodies is there really much of a difference on an HD frame?

Here in Missouri, any car with DMP painted on the door is a HD frame.

$100? We pay the same either way in ny. Only paid like $450 for the car and it'salready stripped, doors are welded, and frame Iis factory black

I always look for the PS and trans coolers. Also the speedo always says "Certified Calibration" if I'm not mistaken

hd frames are heaver by .02 or so but it makes a big differance and there is a stamp by the first trunck body bolt hole that will say hd or std and be carefull some cop cars and caps were not an hd frame and some trailer package crown vics have an hd frame
