If midplate is 1/2 thick you need a crank spacer also Just keep that in mind

Make sure you add longer dowel pins to your block that line up the transmission. If not your eng/trans may not properly line up and may cause you issues later on. I made my own trans brace using punishers brace that bolts to the bell housing bolts. So you can still bolt your trans to motor even if the mounting ears are broken off. Also ties the trans pan to everything also Longer pins would make bolting everything together much easier. Do you know where to get them?

^^^ I got mine from my local motor builder, so any speed shop should have them.

Yeah I got my from local speed shop but jegs, summit racing or speedway motors should have them. Racers use them for cars with mid plate setups.

The hollow ones are a pain in the ass after a few tranny swaps, summit sells solid ones

I can get two pieces of 1/2 inch steel 3'x4' for $25 a piece just some surface rust to wipe away. This steel better not come up stolen as well. Picking up tomorrow. I have no idea what the price of steel like that goes for. Anyone have an idea? (I know I am probably stealing this steel in price) Just curious where to look for a price range. ALSO, he has some 3/4 inch plate I can get. Anyone make a mid plate with 3/4 inch steel? Thinking way overkill, but at times there's no such thing as overkill.
