Has anyone tried using a house light switch for a toggle? I currently have it wired in but will it handle the abuse? That's all we use. Have never had a problem.

Yes. I use to run them. If they get wet they quit working. They let me down and now I'm jaded.

See, I don't think I've had a problem because I built a sealed box for all my switches, but there's still that chance.

What's the best thing to use to protect your wiring from the heat from stacks. Ran a mini truck a few weeks ago and I thought I had the wires far enough away from the stacks but I was wrong lol, didn't know if muffler wrap would be good or if theirs cheaper/ better ways

What about a light hooked to the alt? I dont run an alt but if it can charge a battery it should power a light right?
