If you have anything around with no backing or crappy/rusted backing could weld that backing on another skin. Did that with a rear bumper before with success.

Havent really saw much info but in general are 67 galaxy bumpers both front and back a waste of time on a box vic and yes you can weld, stuff, etc. Can get them next to nothing but i dont want to waste time

80 vent hole vic bumpers. Then the other box bumpers and buick steels are good too.

How do the 05 town car bumpers hold up? Good to put on the rear and hold the rails together. That's about it.

are any of the 80s gm(or any 80+) bumpers comparable to 80s ford bumpers? We can run any metric bumper, but it must remain stock(can cut ears) and weld shock/6x6 1/4" plate to mount. Its getting hard to find a clean ford front that isn't $150-200.

Ok thanks for the feed back, wasnt sure they arent steel backed but they do have those little pieces of steel in back. ill pull it off and save it for a show that allows loading and steel added to bumpers.

I would just get a little bit better built bumper from someone else, not disrespecting dec, he is a good guy and I have bought couple sets of headers from him but I don’t think the bumpers would hold up as good as some others. It’s also not super hard to build your own, just material cost. Lots of options out there.
