Any tips for setting backlash. I put 4:11 gears and a full spool in my third member and drove it for the first time yesterday. And it felt a little weird. But I can't really describe it. I'm sure it's gotta be them little threaded things by the bearings. Sorry for not knowing what this is actually called

Will 80s vic 8.8 backing plates n sh!t bolt onto a f150 9"??... Of course id have to drill a new pattern into the drums but what about the backing plates, shoes, etc

i have a 9inch out of a 71 and 69 both were mark 3's with closed carrier for the spider gears. Will a mini spool mount in a fully closed case.

alright quick question ha, i just broke the drivers side axle and fixed it in my posi 8.8 from an 87 ford wagon and replaced it with the passenger side axle from a none posi axle from an 90 mercury wagon, the new axle is a 1/2 inch longer and didnt realize til after the fact just wondering if it will hurt anything? thanks

last year I put an axle that was 1" longer in my 9" and seems to be just fine.Can't say for your case.

yeah ive never broke one and i had someone on me with the wheels spinning while i got hit so it couldnt get much worse lol thanks for the reply
