whats the best way to bolt stock 91 lincoln a arms down to jack the front end up Can you weld, chain, swap a-arms, or does it have to be bolted with stock upper a-arms? Im allowed to swap a arms and chain them down so im thinking of getting some off a 80s ford if they will bolt up with little to no modifications

Then I would swap them and bolt thru the center like the pic above from getting gassed (page 14). Bigger bolt and washer.... That’s if you can’t weld them.

What does the bolt go through (or into) it that pic? Not sure how it works. The bolt runs through the a arm and into the bump stop bracket.

What he means by bump stop bracket is the spring pocket. Different terminology same thing. Run bolt/allthread through the spring pocket. If you cut the spring pocket out then 1. idk why u would 2. I'm not sure where you would

That's where the bump stop hits when suspension is drooped. I'd post a pic but not sure how since photo bucket screwed everything up.

I've never built an 03 and newer but I would start in the 03 thread and assume there's some info in there. If I'm wrong then sorry lol good luck we-crash.proboards.com/thread/14207/newer-crown-town-grand-marquis

I have seen/heard people talk about the MOOG part number, but can't remember where that was found. I thought that the ford steering section may be a better fit, but I can also post in the 03 section as well.
