I cant seem to get a cap to seal the overflow on these-are there special caps for them? I've tried them on different engines so it's not my head gaskets Are you using a rad? I've had the good results without one using a gutted stat. Tried a washer didn't work. Tried no stat and it pushes a lot water before steam. Slowing down the flow might work. they don't seem to pop as quickly when I test drove my car without the water pump pulley. Got to do a bit experimenting the every engine seems to different and I mean brands. New caps every time too. The sure fire way stay off the gas and use the brakes more. I didn't like these aluminum ones seemed to warped which could be another reason. I like the plastics ones in the Dakotas just didn't like the little flange to clamp the hoses on.

The problem with the small Honda rads are the in let and outlet on the rad are so tiny I don't know we're to get a hose that goes between those two sizes Wrap some cut soda cans around the small radiator openings. I did something fairly similar. Only I cut a strip of rubber out of an old inner tube and wrapped it around the hose fitting on the radiator and then slid the hose over the top of the rubber strip and clamped it down. Seemed to work alright for the time I had that radiator in my car.

Civic CRX Del Sol Integra MT Manual Two Row Core Aluminum Radiator m.ebay.com/itm/400561372754?nav=SEARCHAt this price, you could afford to pay a guy to tig a larger piece off aluminum pipe to the inlet& outlet. Or for that matter, even tig some AN Fittings and run 2inch, 2 wire hydraulic hose for radiator hose.

That is literally the best price hands down....The OEM Honda's Can cool really well.that Rad is one of two,the other being for the air condition, that are In front on most every honda.I think the AC cooler could easily be turned into the greatest tranny cooler ever. Somebody should buy one "I got one from my civic in northern Ny to volunteer " and see How it works.I see it cooling a small block Chevy for about 30 minutes no problem.

I like the Ford ranger rads and 4.3 Chevy rads they are cheap and can find them pretty easy and they are small, they cool a Chevy for a while with a rad fan on them . Honda Civic ac does make good tranny coolers , but the rules here are that most tranny coolers have to stay under the hood and they are too big for that

What is a good fan to use for a sbc 350. A bolt on one, not electric. I heard that a kubota fan or some of the ford ranger fans work. Any idea on a year or part number. What size!? 15"? Any help appreciated, thanks in advance.

They measure about 17" so hood clearance is critical. Air flow from these fans is ridicilous!

When running a radiator barrel. I was going to use an old propane tank. Can I just hook it up to the heater core hoses and call it good and extend them out? And loop the radiator hoses? I was planning on using this with a compact 3800 engine

About looping the hoses, IMO i think some water is better than no water. If your car bursts the radiator you won't have anymore water cooling anything. Yeah its gonna be hot if it looped, but you will have water the entire time. A lot of people I run with loop their hoses and I think I will with my compact this year. Its a 24 car team show... should last awhile!

I get looping hoses for certain things, but if your car has the capacity to hold a radiator you certainly should. Just my opinion of course.
