Does fabric softener really make it run cooler when you mix it in with water? Heard of guys doing that around here but don't really know if it's true or not

Last few runs I've been using a 22-24lbs racing cap, seems like my engines have been running hotter now than when I was running 16lbs cap. They'll get so hot they seize/squeak but won't hardly steam. Had a hose blow off before it steamed in the heat my last run. How are you guys getting away with running high pressure? I cooked my stock 305 and just figured it was a junk engine. Now it's done it to my 355 that's ran fine without water a couple times this year already when 16lbs cap steamed it all. Now it just gets hot and wats to shut down.

I run rads too my problem is 90% of the rads these days don't have filler necks , so I want to be able to use any rad out of any car in a full size car. Live 2002 cavi rad in front of a sbc in a Ford works great and when they get recked not a big deal through it away and get a new rad I can run a new rad every heat kinda thing if there is any issues

The plastic ones are junk. Can't get clamps tight enough for high pressure caps, and I have shattered them as well. Summit, jegs, just about anywhere sells the moroso unit above. The aftermarket is also available in different diameters which is very convenient especially for compacts.

What amp fuse to use inline for an electric fan? I know I've read it but can't seem to find it again.

The problem with the small Honda rads are the in let and outlet on the rad are so tiny I don't know we're to get a hose that goes between those two sizes

You would likely be better off doubling the hoses at the end with a piece of the small hose.

I cant seem to get a cap to seal the overflow on these-are there special caps for them? I've tried them on different engines so it's not my head gaskets
