Man I'd there a Web site anywhere for a good slider for less than 300? nope. Going to have to build your own at that price. I'm currently looking at sliders also. Leaning towards hansen or e2.

Even building your own, with quality parts, and if you have to buy all of the parts, it didn't work out any cheaper to build one than it did to buy an E2 slider for me. It worked great for me last year, but from what I have seen, any built slider does pretty well.

I've always made my own off-highway slider shafts out of 2" square tubing. You need 2" I.D. .25 wall and 2" O.D. .25 wall. If you get the 2" I.D. with a weld seam you'll need to slot a relief for the seam in the 2" O.D. piece. Weld on your yoke and ears of choice and cut to desired length. Usually I try to keep 8" of overlap between the two pieces when I'm deciding shaft length. It isn't balanced, but if you're careful you can get it pretty true so that there is no wobble at speed. It's cheap and effective.

Yes it will fit but you will need to drill and tap your output shaft

Does anybody have a picture of how they drilled and tapped the tranny, I am going to try a slider for the first time and was curious on how that was done. I am running a th400, If anybody could show me an example that would be awesome!

I welded a bolt on the end of the transmission. It was either a 3/8 or a 5/16. Way faster!
Drive it like you stole it!!

Maybe I've just been lucky.

Typically it's the short tail 400s that were tapped from the factory. They were in trucks.
I drilled and tapped one transmission and it took patience and some good drill bits.
