My 94 Regal still did this even after bypassing the VATS. I had to give a "boost" to the ground circuit of the injectors.

no VATS does that, I think...runs for a second and kills it.
ground "boost" C4? Please elaborate...

Do you think this is even a anti theft problem

Been firing up ever since. I did have a VATS problem wich needed bypassed, but then had his problem. I am no electronics whiz, but I'd bet there is a poor connection within that ground circuit. I also had to jump across the starter to get it to pretend that it wanted to go. After "boosting" the injector ground, it starts off the key again.

That could be my problem I just sprayed a chit ton of starting fluid. In it and it ran for a good while ,and have tried 2 different fuel pumps that have good pressure so it could be sonthing with the injectors

I also hooked my ground from the pump to the neg battery and hot wire to one of the hot wires from the radio so the pump shuts off with the key. That was after the bypass and still wouldnt start. Seems to work fine now.

Ground from what and hot wire from radio?? Oh and I took my volt meter and checked the ohms on the 2 wires that goes to your key for your vats and I get the same reading as the key so to me that says that there's nothing wrong with that and the computer should be reading the resistance from the chip in the key ?

Just wondering if I go Lucky or not.i have a 99 lumina that I pulled out the dash cluster and the radio and still used the stock key to start it and never had a problem with any security issue or vats or anything just worked. I ran the car one derby and it still works with no problem. Did I get lucky or is there some cars that it just don't mater?
