Did you guys run factory steering boxes or something else? If your rules allow suspension swaps don't waste a birds with stock parts

I am building on of these now. I will either start a new thread or post pics here. Its a 65 bird. I am putting a-arms off a 1975 LTD on it now. I will post pics later. I know how to stop them from breaking since I ran them for ever so its my choice.

I would love to see more pics of these cars being built. I currently have two, one to build for me and one for my brother. I plan on trying to get them built for 2015.

These two pics are a 1975 LTD a-arm. They bolt right on, you have to cut the front mounting hole out about a half of a bolt hole. We can weld a-arms down here so i will just weld them to frame later. Factory setup

Biggest thing I'm worried about is the upper ball joint, looks like I'll break down and get some Joker upper ball joints.... or just do my usual and run 3/4" grade 5 bolts

Does anyone have a picture of how tight an LS is in one of these? Also do Protectors (DP cradles trans braces)help these cars as much as others?

Any make of small block is going to be a tight fit, there's not much room between the shock towers especially with standard headers...forward dumps will help but probably get ruined too. Plenty of room underhood for a Slant 6 though

How do you guys support the spindles after you mount different a arms? There is a lot of space behind the spindle and I always see these tires tilted in because of it.
