I have a 94 Corsica with the 3.1 in it, anyone know how to trim down the wiring harness? Like which plugs are necessary and which wire is the main power so I can run the power from a toggle and not the key.

Alright guys, read through the pages, but haven't seen anything. Got a 2000 grand am and I need to know how to weld the worm gears for posi. This is the first fqd car I've dealt with, so don't make fun of me if it's not possible lol

It's in the w body thread or the 3100 thread on how to do this.

It's in the w body thread or the 3100 thread on how to do this. If you're talking to me, it's not a 3.1/3100, that's why I posted here. If it's in there in will read it though. Do they use the same trans?

^^ didn't say it was a 3100. If you wanting to make the trans posi, do some reading and figure it out, I did.

Check to see if there is a removable cone where axle goes in on passenger side. Differential would be behind it. And I would suggest NOT welding it posi, but I am one of the few on here with that thought.

Got a response on another post i made as to work ont he steering of my 96 corsica, anyone have any suggestions or tips as to what i should do to the steering?
Also i may have a safety issue I'm about 6"3 and 300 lbs so when my fat @$$ gets in the car I have to have the seat back as far as possible on the factory rail, The rules for the derby i will be entering is stock, how ever they require a tube be welded from door jamb to door jamb behind Driver seat which is not possible with the seat all the way back. I could scoot the seat up but puts me right on top of the steering wheel any suggestions for this? I thought about running a smaller steering wheel or maybe a tilt wheel.

Call the promoter, see if you can weld/bolt some tube/channel from posts back to just behind your seat then run your seatbar off of those.
I'm sure if you explain your situation and say its not for strength they won't care...I don't see it as a big deal at least, I'm the same size.

More of a basic question than a Corsica question, but I digress. Put your seat bar a lil further back. Cage rules that limited suck, but if a seat bar is all you are using for a cage just use longer plates on the end of it, so you still have something solid mounted on the door pillars, but the bar sits further back. If the promoter is a real jack wagon & won't allow longer plates, make a habit of only buying 2 door cars (B pillar sits further back). I am not a big guy (5'7" & 170#), but many of my friends are. 15 years ago, when we were only running a seat bar, we stuck Tim into a 4 door 79 Corolla without issue simply by moving the bar back on longer plates. At the time, he was 5'9" & 325# and got in & out with relative ease. When building a real cage, you can set the seat bar where ever you need it. Andrew is about 6'3" & about 250#. We easily stuffed him into a 77 Honda by building the cage around his body size.

Having the same issues on a 94 Corsica I'm building for youth class kid driving it is 6' 3ish and seat bar is farther back then door jam so just used longer plates and bolted it through the door and welded it to b pillar seems to be ok well see how it holds in april

I think these were from 2010. No afters. Won my heat ran a fresh car in feature. With doing the rear like you did how did it hold up? Did it make it stronger longer or did it fold in right away?
