I got a 94 corsica and I need some more tips on how to build it better. All i have done is stripped it, put in a 4 in seat bar, tucked and pounded the wear end kind of like a wedge, ran rod through the trunk to the frame.

There used to be a sticky thread for them. It must have vanished in the change overs. Maybe we can get it going again. They will be on the same platform as Beretta, Sommerset, Calais, Grand Am.

I would notch under where you have the trunk lid tucked and a slight pre-bend up would help that go up and in where you want. Change the sub-frame bolts in the front, that is just a suggestion since the bolts look very small and weak. On my last car I did not change and it bent the passenger side went down. I believe that will fix that. If you are allowed to have solid suspension I would either weld the strut up or use pipe, the struts are a weak part up front. Stay moving and try to avoid front wheel shots as much as possible. If I can think of anymore I will post. Here is a pic of what the front looked like after.

I have only run one of these to date. On the rear, I only tucked the trunk, ditched the bumper, and ran donuts. Nothing else. I was disappointed. It dropped on the first hit. Was a 2 door Calais. Front was bone stock. Hood had hinges and 2 loops of chain, and held up rather well, including several head ons with a Pacer to finish the night in second place with a broken cv, after losing my heat, and winning the consi.

Have ran a couple of them and all we do to the rear is cut the stock bumper down so it doesn't pin the rear tires when it packs in.

We like to run Corsicas and Berettas when it is FWD only. A few hints are:
-Tuck the trunk in and sledge across the speaker deck to get that back end to go up and in.
- Move the computer to the middle of the car and mount it to the floorboard or firewall on the inside of the car.
- Run #9 wire behind the drivers seat and behind where the passenger side seat would be. through the floorboard and up to the roof, they tend to like to "blowout" right there.
-Run donuts on the back.
-If you have to stick with the stock bumper, thats ok. they are tough for being factory.
If I think of anything else I will post it...

Like others have said make sure you prebend the rear end or you will be plowing the ground ran one stock and after the first hit in the rear it went down about a foot

You can see it on the picture I posted above. It is currently on a cutlass and still going strong. These bumpers are also pretty easy to load if allowed. Any steel backed bumper are good on these cars, it's just how you mount it.

Cant load them but I can put square tube in frame till it hits the stop plate. I alway blow holes in the back side of the bumper and slide it on the tube until it cant go no farther then weld it
