It's my first year building my own car so I've got some questions I'm building a 73 third with the 460 my first question is should I remove the kickdown second question is what should I do with the wheel wells they are like plastic and third question am I alright just to loop the tranny cooling lines

^^^^^^^^^^^
1. Yes, it is pointless on a derby car.
2. Get rid of them. If they are plastic, they will just break.
3. I would install something that at least somewhat resembles a tranny cooler.

As long as you have a Ford coil or a non-resistor coil, you don't need one. We do use a 10ga wire for that. Some folks don't, but I just like having the wire a bit bigger than stock.

I got a 78 grand marquis came with 460 and I plan on running the 460... Im trying to get the front bumper up higher cant weld/chain a arm and cant weld pipe in... would switching to truck spring max out my arms? or should I just use pullys on top of the springs it has? Thanks

Both will work. Is there a max heigth for you? I'd go with the F-150 coils myself. But the pullys work also. With the truck springs, it will be a very stiff ride! Not so much with the pullys.

Alright thanks for the input I was leaning toward using f150 coils too. Rules allow 20” from the ground to the bottom of both the front and rear bumpers.
