my truck is gonna have a cage around the motor. im running 6 inch c-channel from fenders all down, prolly go a tad bit over the rear-end. our trucks are run what ya brung damn near, pretty much the only way you will get turned down is if other truck guys say they wont run against it. and id be one of the first to say im not running against it. becouse im not built like that haha... theres some beasts of trucks around here. can do almost anything except excessive body plating. so if everything is on the "inside" should be fine

Ok guys, I've got a derby coming up this weekend, I've raised the front of the truck up, and all that good stuff, if someone could give me a couple of tips in the next few days that would be great, thanks

id but a 3.4 ton in so u dont break axle and fall out.. also id start with a different truck. but just me. i dont think i got any pics of the one i did on my burband years ago.. but u cut out the very first crossmember in the front and weld it back in the front of the chevy... keeps the front 2 ft that have nothing besides that cheap weak one thats up there helps hold it all together... and yes.. if u leaf it will be way tougher... not alot of work well worth it in long run.. but again if goin to do all this work start with something thats 10 times the truck.
