ive only seen this done once in the late 90s or very early 2000's. his was bolted and no it wasnt allowed then. ohhh i love when people ask "how to cheat" hahaah this is funny!! i agree.. if u got to ask how to cheat on a cage under the hood u shouldnt attempted it.. all us truck drivers go by the rules ;D

You wanna tell me how it's cheating when it's an all welded up and modified class, and I don't need to hide it.

I don't need to ask how to cheat, If I really wanted to, I would. I'm a fair person and I build my trucks to the rules also.

Didn't really plan on building a 4 corner cage, just a bar on each fender on the inside from the front of the cab to the front of the truck. when I first run the truck the front got drove into the motor and I don't want the front of the truck in my face the next time I get hit there. Is there problem doing that?

most rules dont allow it, so most of us will look at as if you were cheating...
sounds like you need to get the front end higher more than anything

Thats what I've been tryin to do, If i can do that then I wont have to worry about the cage, It's a 1985 GM 1/2 ton, do you know how I could get the front end higher, My friend put basically the same thing in his truck that i was going to put in mine and they let him run?

well if you can get it in the gate then its probibly ok (inscert sarcasim)
you may try cutting the top of the a-arms open and weld them down (look in the IH tips/tricks page 1 of how i did mine )

my truck is gonna have a cage around the motor. im running 6 inch c-channel from fenders all down, prolly go a tad bit over the rear-end.
our trucks are run what ya brung damn near, pretty much the only way you will get turned down is if other truck guys say they wont run against it.
