If it's the only pinto you plan on running the I'd run the v6, if you are planning on running several I'd invest in a 2.3

Ya, well you never know what may come for sale cheap.. besides I was just thinking I have a 1976 Toyota corona wagon roller setting out back I need to do something with. I could stuff the 2.3 in after the pinto is done.

I've seen the v6 ran in a derby before I've never ran one though. I do know in the "real world" they do have head gasket issues so I would suspect that it may not be the best engine for multiple cars.

The pinto with the v6 is a running driving hatch for $300 a found a 1975 wagon with the 2.3 and auto with 90k org mikes rust free for $900 maybe I will buy this one and build the motor

For 300 I'd buy the v6 and run it til she blows and in the mean time start collecting 2.3 parts

Ya, the wife’s going to love this.. lol I’m probably going to get both bc a guy I work with is rebuilding a 74 wagon pro street sbc car and he’s looking for trim parts and interior stuff so I can maybe Help him out as well

I have a 76 pinto trunk style this is my first rwd build and I read all the threads but couldnt find anything about speaker decks just wondering if it would be better to cut it or not it will be a mini mod

If your smashing it all down to wedge it I'd cut it out bc your gonna bend it all up doing do an not much to it already

What are the rules for the rear of the car? I am running smashit rules and it says you can cut it out but you have to keep the deck lid 6 inches from the floor of the car

Yea I wish they would go back to the old rules where you could do alot more to them and thank alot and I will be building a stack of leaves and put the down legs in front of them but what are GTP if you don't mind me asking
