Well the lincoln locker screwed me a bit. Took a few real hard hits to the front end and was running 205/65/15s. The knuckle bent in and put the control arm in the tire a few inches. The picture is after I bent it back up a bit trying to get another run out of it. Basically it locked the tire but didnt pop it since theyre doubled and dumping the clutch trying to get it to move i broke somethinf in the trans. Right axle has a few inches of play in it and its seated in the trans. I was hoping to get a knuckle and control arm on it and run it tonight but looks like I need trans parts. Before that happened the car ran great with the diff though. Barely steers on asphalt but in the mud it was fine even without power steering.

Looks like getting the rest of that one out of the transmission could be fun!

Debating on junkyard axles or getting a set from advance auto or somewhere that offers a warranty on them so I can get another pair after they break again

In my area both advance and autozone will give you $10 a piece credit on any old batteries that you have. That makes getting new ones a little easier on the pocket if you have some laying around.

hi wecrash. got a 2000 Accord 6 cylinder here, gonna run it in a pretty stock show though tech is weak. also i am in the PNW so stock still means door bars and crossbars etc. allowed 2 1 inch hood pins and can do a compact bumper swap, have one from an early 80s mazda ill probably put on. any wierd electronic stuff or computers in wierd locations on these, i usually run gm for these midsize/compact events. not allowed to tuck trunk, notch or chop somewhere specific?

Anybody know of any aftermarket shifters or pedal assemblies that fit an accord? Running a 2 door 95 Accord in a pro (full weld) mini class and looking for some stuff. Already got solid for tires for the rear, and everything else.

Thought Id post these as an update. Got two brand new axles for the lincoln locker wagon and ran it for the last time for the season saturday night. Snapped the left side off in the intermediate shaft and bent the right knuckle into the strut again. Starting to think the driveline angles might be off due to a bent control arm or something but this is getting old. Made a hit at a bit of an angle and popped the left front tire. Only thing i can think of is the tire locked for a second and i was still on the gas and she snapped.

What are people doing with the abs crap on the fron fender, drivers side? 97 Accord. It's an enduro car, but same issues as the derby cars have. Thanks!

For anyone reading through this looking for tips on an EG Civic, just a warning they have a very soft front end (bonestock build). Hood was tied down with 2 bits of 9 wire on the corners by the lights and hoses were looped so no rad, one but forced the front right in an hood straight down onto the distributor and smashed it to pieces. Protect your dizzy as best as possible as I don't think a rad in there would've done much to stop it ending my derby in one or 2 hits

Yea definitely, it was a bonestock build though and a fairly quick build too Would never run a civic in a normal derby again, picked up a cheap eg hatchback so will be parting out and then ramp racing that car

Any tips and tricks for keeping an f22a running strong? Just did the timing belt and every seal in it,water pump, valve cover gasket and plug well rings. Gonna be ordering solid mounts and making a header, taking out the thermostat, hot wiring the cooling fans and possibly running an h22 intake. Not sure what else i can do to keep it happy. I was also wondering if i should change the clutch in it or just swap in an auto i have laying around? I'm stumped boys lol I have a 2002 honda accord im going to derby. How would i strengthen the spindles so they dont break? Dont want to be taken out by a lousy spindle lol

Can someone tip me on fuel pumps for a 2001 civic? If I buy aftermarket and run a boat tank what pressure is needed? Also, any theft deterrent disable gotchyas? Radio, airbags, anything going to disable things so i don't run? Can I pull the dash or?
