^^^^^You're talking about the plate that is mounted to the underside of the "trunk" floor? I like to take out the shocks, run the chain right through where the shock was (right thru that plate), then over the frame rail, punch a hole right through the wheel well, & loop it around the axle housing, squash the back of the car down a couple inches and bolt it. Separate chains for left and right.

These are of a stock Pacer a-arm. I believe it would take some mods to make it fit in a Gremlin. these look like they might fit a pinto or mustang 2 would they?

I don't know, and I don't have a Pinto or Stang 2 to compare it to.

Local scrap yard has a 76 hornet. The body is rusty but the front bumper is solid. Are these bumpers any good and worth pulling?

^^^Decent if you have to stick with compact bumpers, or for stock builds.

Ok....so when you chain your humps do some of y'all just take the shocks out? Also is a newer gremlin and a spirit the same suspension wise? Like all the front parts and the leaf springs? I have a gremlin with a couple missing parts...

Nobody knows if a pinto leaf pack will bolt under a gremlin do they? (: Measure the main leaf and tell me how long it is. Then I'll measure the stock leafs I got on the two gremlins I got.

74 & newer is the magic number. If you get the humps chained really good, the older ones will hold for a while, though.
And the better your leaf pack, the better your odds.

I might be able to get one today I didn't chain them on this one til after most of the damage was done, but it's done right.
