Hi everyone, new to the compact world, just picked up a super clean 1991 dodge dynasty with the 3.3 v6, goin to be a chain and bang mini class in august, any tips on how to keep motor running as long as possible? also im in desperate need of an ecm or two as the one in it is fried up, so if anyone has some or can get some (not alot of options around my area) send me a message. i have seen multiple times these like to plow in the front so i wont try to use it too much in the derby, but how are the backs? and is there anywhere or anyone with info on how to buy or make headers for these 3.3s? where is the best spot for computer relocation? and i noticed another computer on the passenger side fender in the engine bay, is this some type of trans module or computer for the trans? and do these cars have any type of anti theft devices i need to know about. thanks all

No anti theft that I am aware of? (somewhere will correct me if wrong)
I wouldn't worry about keeping the engine running. The one we ran never had any problem with running without water or shutting down from heat. Everything else around it was the problem.

I kindly dumped a 3300 mopar's radiator for them 30 seconds into a derby, car proceeded and gave zero f($ks. It's a stout motor imho.

3.0 is the same platform of engine. I got one that needs a water pump. Looks like a bear of a job. Over head cams & the pump is timing belt driven.
3.0 & 3.3 are definitely more heat friendly than most 6 cylinder engines.

Then held it on the limiter trying to blow it up before I scrapped it got bored after 15 mins and gave up. Gotta figure out to get a 3.3 in a wbody

Anybody figured out how to keep the front ends from dropping so bad? What's the best thing to do to the front suspension to make em taller? Had my front end drop so bad, and trans mount stayed with strut tower, that it actually ripped a whole in the top of the trans.

I prebent my front frame rails up hard....like a good 3 inches upwards bend. STILL plowed down easy. If I ever build one again I would be tempted to heat and dimple the front frame rails, then prebend it up. Heck maybe even notch the front and bend upwards. The front should only be for recieving hits or a killing blow. Backend driving all day for these cars.
