Hello everyone. New to the board. Any tips for building a 99 Cirrus? The fair is running "run what you brung" rules, so essentially, pretty much anything is allowed.

yeah definitely not upset about it. I didn't have the time to really build a car, so i would definitely be outmatched if it was run what you brung rules

ive begun work on my dodge spirit AA-body platform. I have tucked the trunk and so far put 2 3"x3" plates 1 on each side. planning to put at least 1 more per side. my question is has anyone tried to tilt these cars? the way I would tilt the car is put a bunch of weight on the trunk to compress the coil springs and then I would wrap the coils together with a bunch of 9 wire to keep the coils compressed. then add a plate from the top of the coil to the bottom weld it up to keep them from popping up if the 9 wire broke. thats how I would tilt the rear. has anyone done this before to a unibody? or attempted it before? any input would be appreciated.

You mean tilting it upwards correct? As a prebend. If so, then yes from your wording it sounds like it would work. Would you be controlling the exact point of where it bends upwards, or just keeping suspension tight and bending the entire rear up wherever it goes.

People are tilting W-bodies...... But any other compact, I have not heard of it done....Yet.
I'm expecting it to start happening for the taurus front frames soon enough.

Ppl been titling foxbodys for a while now too. Never seen pics of a tilted w and frankly the idea sounds stupid to me. To each their own but to me I fail to see what could be gained.
