Check out the videos on my 91 New Yorker. I loved how perfect it packed in the trunk. Maybe try notching yours in a similar spot. The rear frame on these is a lot stronger than I expected it to be and seemed to take more abuse than the usual compacts that fold right in. I think ive watched about every video you have haha

I think my game plan will be donuts on the back and notch the rear end and leave the front be. Will post before and afters of the 91 dodge spirit fold trunk at 50% then fold quaters to trunk weld, bolt, or wire it all an then notch it right where it meets trunk. folds into a box.. ive done it to yota they all will fold same nice an low.

I'm thinking about buying a 1985 dodge 600. It's pretty clean and I didn't know if it would make a good car for my local derby. What is some things I need to make sure is strong when building?

I have a dodge spirit I acquired. a couple questions is this the K plat form? also I went thru and read the whole thread, has anyone ever tried to tilt the car to keep the front from plowing? what I mean is raise the front end a couple inches (I usually just stick a bolt thru the strut where I want the height to be and mount my 2x2" tube behind the strut to keep them from bending in half (rules say we can) and then go to the back end and lower the car by collapsing the coil springs enough so you can see a tilt and notching the trunk frame and pre bending it up so first hit and itll start to curl the bumper, ive never tried to collapse the rear coil springs before, I would just use hose clamps and clamp them together and weld them when their close. what do you guys think, good or bad idea? ( I have raised the front end using bolts in the past It works well.

Not sure if yours has the exact same frame as my 91 New Yorker. But my front frame looked like this below: I prebent mine up at the RED mark, giving the front a good 1 inch higher tilted angle. It did not take many hits and soon the front frame collapsed inward and pushed down where the YELLOW is marked. It reminds me of using the rear frame hump off a fullsize car, but on the front. I'm not sure how I would prebend the front frame to keep that hump from plowing without extra "hump" plates.

Lasted 5 shows frame was great, never pre bent it. Id suggest doing a shifter and mod the trans mounts if you can. After the 3rd run my cable came off and my trans dropped after i had done a full track shot.other than that it was an awesome id run one again. I have pics if u want
