So stole the other guys list, what I have also picked up from this is that I need too - Tuck/notch/prebend trunk Raise rear bumper or remove Put square tube in motor mounts Strengthen ball joints.. Have a 93 Cierra with the 3300. Engines run well? Tips to keep it running? Limp mode? Still deciding, would this be a better semi stock car or could it hold its own in mod midsize Action Auto rules in a smaller demo? Depends greatly upon wheel base, A bodies can hold their own in a 106" show but vastly out gunned in a 108" show. Due to my personal experience with em, I'd either sell it to someone who didn't know any better or roll it in the street and light it on fire. Jus my opinion.

Make sure you have fun more than any. I'm take mine to a somewhat weld show with 110wb and know I'm Goin to be out built but never stopped me before. I also did get the ignition coil hot wired and carb almost done been taking pictures to help others. When I get done with it will post pics.

Decided to build to stock class rules. 113" wheel base for front, 106" for rear..
It is about having fun, that you are correct.

What's the best way to do the backend to make it strong. Line it with plate Seriously tho A bodies won't ever a rear heavy car without outright cheating or very loose rules. Best thing you can do is to get them to go up and not drop

Have a 88 ceirra and running a show that doesn't allow pre bending. After reading everything I am not sure what the best route to take is. My plan was to cut about 1/2 the trunk lid off since I can't tuck it, notch, and go with no rear bumper. Kinda wondering if I'd be better off with the bumper mounted high? Also I went with a mid 70s dart/volare bumper on the front with full size gm shocks replacing the factory ones. Anybody have thoughts on how that set up will work?

I just ran a 96 century, flattened the trunk down to the floor, welded trunk on sides, and back by speaker deck, Cut the spare tire hump and notched the frame at the same spot I cut the tire hump. I used the soft stock rear bumper in stock location and ran 9 wire around the bumper shocks to the roof. Ass end was soft but packed straight in. Next time I'll cut a little off the quarter panels to keep it off the rear tires.

I'm running a 1996 Cutlass Ciera Wagon in 2 weeks. Anyone ever pre-bend one of these? I have access to a skidloader and forklift so we have equipment available. I would assume start by notching the frame ?

I just ran a 93 Cierra. For the back end I ran no bumper, I cut 2 notches, tucked trunk, gave it a slight dish, and pre bent it slightly as well. Made my first few hits a little light to get it going in and it was a work of art after that. It packed straight in. Did better than we thought.

Hey guys, my brother just picked up an 88 cutlass ciera for a chain and go class and the motor is gutless, has no power, have to flutter the pedal before it picks up any speed (which isnt much), after sitting awhile it has a hard time starting and have to use some starting fluid. After you run it to temp and shut it off it starts back up, but after sitting for a few minutes and engine still warm it does it again and have to spray some more into it. Anyone have a clue what it may be?

Here's a pic of my homemade cable shifter I made to eliminate have to use the column shifter. Worked out great and didn't cost much to make either.
