Anyone ever remove the heater core on one of these cars? Mine has a hole in it so I wanna get rid of it. If so, do you guys just loop the hoses that go through the firewall?

If I showed up with a heater core here, inspectors would tell me to take the car back home, strip it & try again next year.

I just replaced crank sensor because that was what I thought the problem was.
And just loop or plug, either works.

Crank sensor was what I thought the problem and I changed it. (It was junk) but the new one in,I I put a test light to the plug coming off of it and it lit up, then I have 12 volts to each prong on the ignition control module but and I changed out coil packs for known good ones and wires and still just cranking. I have spark to prongs on ignition controls module but nothing past it.

Does a 89 Ciera have a neutral lockout or something? Want to be able to start it and not worry about what gear it's in.

You double checked the power to the ecm ? Just thinking out loud, shouldn't matter, coil will still fire even w/o any ecm present at all. You using a multi meter to see if your injectors are receiving voltage or pluse, during cranking ?

So I got my heater core out and looped it but what is the larger radiator looking thing behind it? Is it the ac condenser? If it is then what is the thing in front of the radiator? The tranny cooler? And does the thing behind the heater core need to come out?

By the heater core is the AC evaporator. By the radiator is the AC condenser.
