Thanks. Wasn't sure how similar these cars are and didn't see much on centuries so thought I'd ask. These 16 pages should give me a good start Indeed. Only difference is the badge, and I am sure there are still unanswered questions. My first one was a Chevy. I have 2 more Chevy's. an Olds and a Pontiac, all sedans. Looking forward to them. Was underbuilt, but got 1st out of 10 on my first run with mine. Car is still good for another one. The other 9 were 4 Gremlins, 1 Spirit, 1 Mustang, a Corsica, a Tercel wagon and a Kia. We were restricted to 105", 6 cylinders and 2900# curb weight according to NADA, which means no Pacers/Eagles.

I have a 86 celebrity wagon with a rusted out engine cradle. Has anyone else had a issue with the cradle being rotten

Owned well over a dozen a body cars and have yet to encounter that. Not surprising tho, the subs aren't very thick.

Looks like a lot of notch and prebend to me. Yeah it will go up but still wanna be able to use your ass end a little bit.

Did the century identical to the h body and I used the back a bunch in the 2nd demo. Packed in and was solid. Pretty hard to argue with these results but it did prebend a lil further up then I was wanting. And to answer your question stormi I did clearance the fenders but I rolled the edges over and rebolted em. I'll get you a pic soon.

On most cars I never cut anything, just move the metal somewhere else with a portapower, jack, or BFH.

It might not go down, but looks like it's sure going to go up. it won't go down and not 100% sure but I doubt it'll whale tail either. Could be multiple notches involved here as well.

BTW the fenders are on the front and the 1/4s are in the rear.

There's a fine line between predictable bending/folding and making it too weak. JMO agreed. Where that line is, however is debatable. Given the tendency of the these cars to go down in the back end, think doing nothing would be worse than too much prebend or notching. And I've yet to have a car cave in the c pillar so I don't think Its compromised the car too much. Don't think there's a right or wrong to approach this just different schools of thought. I like prebending because that's just one less thing to leave to chance. I'm 100% confident the centiry would've bent right without the prebending but why chance it ? All it would take is one bad/weird hit and down it goes. jmo
