Thanks. Dont see very many around here. Actually I cant even remember the last one I seen When wheelbase jumps to 108, it kind of makes the Pacer irrelevant when you can find a driver W for the same price as a clean Pacer shell.

The wheel base around here is just now starting to jump to 108. They are just hard to find. But I got lucky and found a nice cheap one

If anyone is going to be scrapping a pacer and the floor pans are still decent I would buy them off of you! Thank you!

What is the wheel base for a 76 pacer? I'm new to the derby world, running my first derby the 24th with a chevette and picking a pacer up Saturday. Heard they are the imperials of compacts. Looking to build this thing as hard as they can get to run bash for cash in 2016. So far what I've read is to swap the rear end out, change the bumpers. Best I've heard is a Chrysler pointy for the front, replace the ball joints with grade 8 bolts, the rear hump seam and run a 80's s10 steering box. Anything else you guys would recommend to do? And how do you go about mounting the s10 steering box?

Can't anyone show pics explaining the ball joints and steering box? And for the rear axle swap are you guys using the leaf springs and all on the jeep rear end or using the pacer springs? And also can you do the whole heat up the arms and beat them around the spring bucket with the stock k frame? And can I just remove the whole sub and do it that way or does it have to be attached to car? Thanks

Best bumper to use on these? I can use any bumper and load them. I was thinking a Chrysler pointy loaded. Stuffing the pacer bumper inside a diplomat bumper also sounds ideal

Don't notch or dimple, leave it the way it is.. Ass ends are hard, but don't use them to hit with, let them hit you, you can nose with the front of these all day long if built right, I wouldn't hard nose it, use older gm cans, they bolt right up. K members are tough. Swap out the mounts to solid steel or you will have problems. Upper A arms on them suck, and there isn't any that I know of that you can use, just plate them so they don't bend, if you can put the solid steel mounts in and then weld the k member to the frame, it will take a lot, I mean a lot to get it to nose or bend at all for that matter, and when it does, it will either go between the front of the k member forward or between k member and firewall. Definitely swap out rear end, I use 9 inch, keep the cage low
