What are you guys swapping the upper A Arms to? I swear I saw some astrovan a arms on these. Wanting to run 23s on front, have 80s spindles, front bumper can’t be any higher than 22 inches. I figured 04 F150 struts; but what would be best for a arm? Move your strut location to gain height and weld into place when your happy. And I've saw 80s ford and gm a arms cut to fit. What do you mean move strut location? Are you saying moving the bottom of strut and weld to lower control arm? Or if you have a picture as a reference that would be appreciated as well?

make a little bracket or straps or tube with holes and raise the lower mounting point of the strut...

Somebody in here was saying run without power steering, that power steering broke the rack, I’m not sure which direction to go. Have you ran it with power steering before?

I have not because i run a gear box. But several guys around me run racks with power steering and have plenty of success with it

The only reason i haven’t yet is because I’m too cheap to buy the power steering fittings, the HD knuckle and most of all, my engine saddle won’t work with it.

Rules - Lower cradle with no midplate or DP. Can have transmission protector but will probably not be locked in so the engine block does not break. 2x2x1/4" crossmember. I have two questions. 1 - Any advice on how to keep the frame from dumping at the blue line in the picture. I'm sure body mount has a lot to do with it. What is the best placement to get the most clamping area between the inner frame rail and the outer plate that is used for the stock body mounts? 2 - I am tilting at crossmember and have 14" of seam welding behind a-arm. What seams would be most important to weld at crushbox/firewall area?

Weld the flap to the rail for sure. Better yet, since you’re allowed welding up there, cut the flap off, plate it up and weld the flap back on.

Have 80s ford spindles and uppers, are you guys flipping that lower ball joint? Was planning on leaving strut stock, and just changing how it mounts on the bottom, but I worry about ball joints and the angles of them.
